I need some advice on pants.  Like a lot of guys, I usually just go with the blue jeans, but I'm trying to branch out, find my own style.

The biggest problem that I am having is finding pants that have acceptabler pockets. Sure, I can fit all the stuff I carry every day into my pockets, but its bulgy, unsightly, and in some cases, damages the pants.  I was hoping you guys could point me in the right direction, either towards pants, or maybe just eliminating some of the clutter in my pockets.

In adition to the keys, phone, and wallet, I like to have chapstick, and two pocket knives (a polliticaly correct Swiss army knife and a "tactical" style folder)

After writing it out, it doesn't look like that much, but most pants that are not excessively baggy tend to have pockets that "print" just about everything I drop in them.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Chris

Jacket or sportcoat helps with the stuff, but you really don't need 2 knives.
MIght just be my work milieu, but the "tactical" style nylon holsters for the cell phone and the multi-tool  & flashlight have been discreet enough for work wear. (A two pocket pistom magazine pouch works well for the multi-tool and the flashlight.

I wear black BDU pants from a military store. I dont know whether they are fashionable or not but i like them.

I'm a black bdus and combat boot type, but if you don't want to go with a goth thing (bdus usually look bad because people don't wear the right shoes with then- white sneakers and bdus can't ever look good), try Duluth trading co. Really well  built, good looking clothes, all about the pockets.
I really like these pants http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/19922?page=tropic-weight-cargo-pants ...They are extremely comfortable, no matter what season or occasion, they're not too baggy, but not too tight either, and surprisingly tough.
Six-pocket cargo pants by Columbia work for me. Comfortable, roomy, variety fo colors, nice enough to wear in a business-casual environment.
I can't help you with pants, but I'd definitely go with the idea of getting a briefcase or a jacket with inside pockets. That's what I did when I changed from huge blue jeans to nicer pants, and it really makes no difference once you're used to it.
I'd try reducing my pocket load first. Why two knives? A guy who needs something bigger than the PC Swiss probably doesn't need anything dressier than jeans. Thin out the wallet (no George Constanza). And drop the chapstick into your coat pocket (or just drop it all together).
Why is everyone hung up on this "why do you need two knives" stuff? Need is relative and subjective, and if the man wants to carry two knives, he should be able to carry two knives. Sometimes I do as well, especially when I am working in uniform and want to be able to access a knife with either hand, particularly for gun grab attempts. There are very sound tactical reasons for doing so, but that is something few  comprehend. Besides, we don't "need" a lot of things, but if that is what the OP wants to carry and wants to know what he can wear to do so.
I keep my phone in my front left pocket, keys in front right, my pocket knife clipped in my back left pocket and my wallet in my back right pocket. If you did this, would adding your chapstick with your phone and your swiss army knife with your keys be overly bulky?
Um.... Looks like half of a harnessed horse...
Those would, and more.  Plus, he could parachute in them and not worry about meeting the ground :)

Are we failing at spreading the Word?

Are we failing at spreading the Word? One of the things I believe to be happening is a very small but very vocal minority is changing the way the country (USA) thinks and acts. What might be considered as biblically right is in flux and the backbone of who we were is being shifted, curved and warped into some distorted image of our former self. "In God we Trust", is printed on our money, “ Do you swear to tell the truth…"(hand on the Bible), homosexuality is being discussed in the Boy Scouts, no…See More
