I'm looking to buy a pea coat and was wondering if anyone has any experience with Indochino coats. I'm thinking about getting this one: http://www.indochino.com/product/The-Essential-Navy-Military-Coat

What do you gentlemen think? Will this one be good in terms of quality? Alternative suggestions are welcome!

l like it , looks great , especially like the scarf loop .

Very well crafted I must say. The only downside I can see, would be the lack of pockets. I understand it does have vertical pockets for storage I guess? But, its lacking horizontal pockets for your hands. You will look great, but unless you have gloves your hands will be freezing. Trust me on this one, I learned it the hard way.

That looks like a great coat. I have been looking for one for a while. But, I don't really live in that cold of a area. so, my use of it wouldn't warrant the price. One day I will get one. It will look something like that.

I bought a working model at Old Navy for about $30 a couple years ago and it isn't super slim with for the skinny model type guy. But that is just me, I saw essentially the same thing and made my choice.

I think you should try out a bunch of different ones to find what suits you.

I did that last year.  The buckle around the neck to me is a detractor.  I don't want hardware that close to the underside of my chin.

The scarf holder is silly if you use anything with real bulk.

The rest is good.

The questions to think about is if it has pockets where you want and would use them and if that is the look you want.

I ended up with a Calvin Kline Pea Coat.  I was not looking for a brand just what worked for me.

I recently got this one from old navy on sale for 35$. I got the black version (for some reason blue was 10 more). It works for me and is pretty warm for the Georgia winter.

I got the black one from Old Navy for $22 last January and love it.

I have a Banana Republic peacoat.  I think I bought it on sale a couple years ago for about $150.  It's a great coat, looks sharp, keeps me warm, and still looks brand new after several years.
