Are guys becomeing weaker? Now before you answer this are you as tough as your grandpa or even your dad. Quick If ww3 was tomarrow would you answer the call. Do you know now how to really throw a punch. Quick do you own a pocket knife. For many modern men these questoins take a few secs or warrent a glazed stare. Up until the 60's there was a high importance placed on makeing men fit for service and life at home. Today theres no longer that push to toughen yah up.

Maybe not weaker. Definitely can't spell as well.

Beat me to the comment.

I can valuch for that!

Many schools have got rid of gym and out lawed tag. The number of boyscouts is falling quickly. The army has even softened the verbal ''abuse'' they use because it could be seen as hostile. Im not saying were all ready to hand over are man cards but i am saying it may be time for to steal a phrase a manaissance.

It appears there is at least one that doesn't teach English.

Far too many.

final questoin for now what on skill grandpa had that you dont.

Not sure how the ability to throw a punch or my pocket knife is going to help me withstand a nuclear blast, but anyway many men were unfit to serve in WWII too as well. Does the idea that we now have a lot more unfit men mean we are not spending enough on gym class? Probably not. My guess is that it just means that fewer of us work on the farm and other similar industries.

I think the unanswered question is how we get the enemy to put their hands on the wall.

ok i guess the point is during ww2 men got drafted and became soilder that was being a man you were expected to become a '' badass'' when the time came i simply dont feel we expect that out of men today.

A few questions. 1. Is English your first language? 2. In WWII, when the draft happened, no one was expected to be a bad-ass. That is a trait we have given characters in movies because it's more fun. To use a Saving Private Ryan analogy, I'm sure there were a lot more "Uphams" than there were anyone else. The soldiers of the time were simple men which were called upon to do insane and sometimes extraordinary things.
