Hi everyone,

I'm looking into starting straight razor shaving and I was wondering if any of you have had a chance to use this blade http://www.shaving-shack.com/dovo-stainless-steel-5-8-open-razor.html?

If so I'd really appreciate some feedback on your experience as this is a potential blade I'm thinking of.

Thanks in advance!

Anthony

Thanks, I'll check it out

This is what I currently use and would recommend if you haven't used a straight razor before:

http://www.amazon.com/Parker-SRW-Stainless-Straight-Razor/dp/B002ON...

It's less than $30 and with the included blades you will get 100+ shaves. Plus you don't have to worry about the hidden costs of stropping and honing a $100+ blade.

Don't get me wrong, I am likely going to drop some coin on a nice Hart blade, so don't let me stop you from going with the Dovo or any other nice blade, but I think if you are on the fence and just want to get practice before investing then you should start with the Parker. I use it every day with cold water and no lather with NO problems.
