recent news about the disaster in japan is been a topic around the globe
then i saw a vid about the guys from whalewars in a pro Animal rights forum showing japanese sailors killing whales
then the guys from the website start commenting on "japan deserves to be strucked by that disaster because of their heartless killing of such wonderful creatures"
another guy commented "The one who did this should be killed"
another guy commented "Bukkake loving fools deserve those tsunami"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i dont know why these guys are soo concerned with whales that they think what happened in japan was justice for all of the whales that japanese sailors had hunted and slaughtered .
well some species of whales are endangered but thinking that a life of a whale is greater than human life well is a complete BS . How about the pigs, the sheeps, and the cattle that we all eat don't they deserve justice too? and these guys does not give a f*** about these animals because we see them everyday and we grew in a world that its normal to eat these animals. its like their saying that This animal is greater than this animal so you can kill the inferior animal .
well i hope you get the message and forgive me for my grammatical errors
well i would like to hear your opinion about this issue

These fanatics are so carried away that they would take a harpoon for a whale. I don't hunt anymore because I can take or leave wild meat My wife won't eat it at all, since we don't have to eat it to survive...that is why I don't hunt. But wildlife needs to be managed, to prevent overpopulation and disease...Because of a lack of preditors and habitat they end up in front of someones car and left on the Highway. I find that sad. If I really liked wild meat I would still hunt, but again that is the only reason I quit hunting...

Permalink Reply by Orion Mervin M. Yoshida on March 24, 2011 at 7:48am Well, I'm from Michigan and we eat a lot of venison so I'll direct my comments that way. I think it starts right away with cleaning the animal as soon after it is killed as possible. I've also heard that skinning a deer quickly will reduce the "gamey" flavor. We always clean and then hang our deer as soon as possible and then have it processed quickly as well ( I want to try butchering a deer myself, maybe this year).
I think the best tip for preparing the meat is to soak it in salt water before you cook/grill it. For example if I have a roast frozen I will remove it from the wrapper, fill a bowl full of cold water with table salt mixed in, and then let it defrost in the refrigerator for a day, day and a half. The salt is supposed to draw the blood out of the meat, which it seems to, thus reducing the gamey flavor, which it also seems to do well.
I'm sure there are more tips, maybe I should start a discussion.

My family usually cooks Pig,Cattle and chicken innards and i have not tried eating deer innards
yes please start a discussion about preparing meat
Permalink Reply by StaggerLee on March 24, 2011 at 8:44am I think it has a lot to do with the animals diet. For example, I never cared for venison until I lived in Minnesota. The difference? Minnesota has a huge number of corn farms and the dear eat predominately corn. The meat was great! In other places I lived, the dear ate predominately grass. The flavor was awful.
Give this a test, if you'd like to see for yourself what I am talking about. Buy two beef steaks, one grass fed beef and one corn fed. The meat tastes totally different with the grass fed being by far inferior!
