I'm looking for an inexpensive everyday watch with specific characteristics:

analog

white face

"white" metal (brushed aluminum, silver, stainless steel)

18mm lug size

Something along the lines of a Timex Weekender or Easy Reader, or in the range of Timex, Casio, Seiko, Invicta, etc.

I know this seems backwards but I got a nice NATO strap as a gift but none of the watches I currently have are appropriate for it. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg on it but I'd like it to be nice enough to be worn to an office job (though mostly invisible under a shirt of jacket sleeve).  Not looking for showing bling; looking for classic, timeless, subtle.

I know this is ultra-specific but, if you have any ideas, help a brutha out.

Thanks!

I've been consistently impressed by the Seiko 5 series.

This is an 18mm lug, automatic movement.

Nice! Thanks!

I agree. Seiko 5's are great watches at a pretty affordable price.

Check out Orient watches.  Lots of different styles.  High quality movement for a reasonable price.

try a vintage Seiko. or spend a bit more and look for vintage Omegas

Nato bands also look best on divers IMO

"The answer is simple. If you haven't already, make your feelings for her clear.  You don't want to walk away without knowing for sure that you are in the friend zone. If she puts you in the friend zone, forget about her and move on.…"

"Agreed that women's ideas vary widely, which means there are women for who like whatever type of man you want to be.   Don't let any woman define what a real man is for you.  That's ass-backwards."

"What? It was light hearted. I don't think I can learn how to read people's minds and tell if their dad is the coach of the team. But thank you. Maybe they aren't that helpful."
